The shots we took for our poster and magazine front cover are of the main character the child 'Isaac'. The idea we were going for with this shots is to creep the audience out and also get them thinking about the movie.  When the audience see the child holding the box it makes them wonder why is this jack in the box in the image with the child, does it have some sort of significance.  For the poster we want the image to scary the audience and also lure them in to want to watch the movie, by doing this we needed a creepy look on the child's face to portray that he is not himself in this image and with him holding the jack in the box in front of him shows the audience that he is being controlled by the box and he can't stop it from controlling him. For the magazine front cover image, we wanted to create a symbiotic link between the film poster and magazine cover. But we also still wanted it terrifying so the audience are lured in by the image and also lured into the magazine to find out more about the film featured in the magazine.
